Having tried the in-house Chinese restaurant at the Imperial Queen’s Park, hubby and I decided to try out the French restaurant, Les Nympheas. The place looked quite posh and I loved the interior. It had very high ceiling and a semi-open kitchen. The seats were really comfortable and decorated with plenty of pillows covered with colourful Thai silk.
Once upon a time, my colleague asked if I could accompany her to buy a netbook since apparently she considered me as a technology-aware person. As a reward, she promised me a treat at the Outback steakhouse located in the same building as the geek mall. She really knows how to please me 
– with that kind of an award, it was an easy decision. So we went to the geek mall and looked around a little for options of laptops and netbooks. After comparing a few items, she made her choice and had her new gadget installed with an operating system and other extra applications from the vendor. Unfortunately that night she had some appointment with her friends so we rescheduled dinner for another time.
Alright, enough postponement already. It’s time to do Antonio’s some justice. Way back when I was in Bangkok with my hubby, we went about our usual dinner-picking-indecisiveness and walked in and out of almost every Sukhumvit road there is to find a place that would suit my hubby’s and my taste and mood for the night. I almost ran out of patience when we saw this lovely cozy light on the top floor of a building in the back of another building. Then we saw a sign “Antonio’s” with an arrow pointing around the corner. Out of curiosity as much as severe hunger, we both decided to go there.
Tonight’s dinner recipe is taken from Periplus Mini Cookbooks ‘Fast Pasta’ edition. However, the ‘how-to’ bit follows Nigella’s tips in one of her cooking videos. Not only is this fast, but it’s also very yummy. (more…)
Yes, it’s the fourth time that I am actually writing about Gourmet Garage. It’s obviously a place that my hubby and I like going to, not only because they are the only place (or the only one we know of so far) that sells prime beef (wagyu), but also because so far, the food we had there at their restaurant had been to our satisfaction. It’s only natural that we come back to the place we like, isn’t it? (more…)
