Lunch at Spageddies

Basically I am a fan of Italian food, so when I went out with my family for my birthday lunch, I opted to dine at an Italian restaurant. Everytime my sister and I went to the gym, we would almost always pass Spageddies and we have been wondering for a while now what the food is like. So we thought it was a perfect opportunity to try it out now.

Dinner at aTavola

Yep I am still catching up on writing about all the delicious food I had experienced before even moving to Haiti. This was even from before my hubby’s departure. I agreed to go out with hubby for a ‘date’ on that Friday night. Since we did not want to waste much time in traffic, we opted to go to any place nearby the house. With so many restaurants in Kemang area, one of them must have something special to offer.

Chimichanga at Amigos

It was my parents’ anniversary so my sister and I decided to take them out for lunch. We therefore went to Amigos restaurant in Kemang, since it has been a long time since we have been there. I have been there several times and my favourite dish (although not specifically Mexican) is the cheeseburger closely followed by the Tacos. But I wanted to try something completely different which I never tried before.

Harvest Cake from the US

It was the morning of my birthday when I got a phone call from Harvest cake shop asking me to describe how to get to my home. A few moments later, a delivery person arrived, bringing the most awesome package I have ever received, with a note attached “Happy birthday Hesti! Love, the Scotts”

Poulet en Sauce / Poulet Basquaise

Ok so after a long while of settling in, getting a job (although only locally contracted), learning the ropes, and some procrastination, here is my first post (and so far the only one) about my food adventures in Haiti. A new expatriate staff arrived one day at the end of September so hubby and I took him to a hotel which was supposed to be quite popular and interesting. It’s the Oloffson hotel in the center of Port-au-Prince.
