The Brasserie at Schiphol Airport

Still related to our short trip to Denmark, we flew back to Indonesia with KLM, so automatically we stopped at Schipol Airport. Since we had a long five hours stopover in Amsterdam, we had plenty of time to walk around and we even took a nap at Yotel located at Lounge 2 near the food court of the Schiphol Airport. By the way, If you’re looking for a place to nap when stuck in transfer at Schiphol Airport, Yotel is the place to go. They have small sized bedrooms that are arranged and decorated in a way that gives you the experience of a first class airline cabin from EUR 65 (for four hours).

Anyways, from the title of this post I am guessing you know I don’t intend to write about the airport hotel. After our refreshing nap, we went to look for a place to eat. Right outside the hotel, there was a food court and there were also a few stand alone restaurants. After looking around, my hubby and I (guess on whose insistence) decided on The Brasserie. From a list of very tempting dishes, we both decide on the rib eye. The steak was absolutely delicious – very tender and juicy although I had to add a bit of salt (yeah I like ‘em salty), and the brown sauce was also very yummy, although slightly too thin. I liked the way they served the mashed potato: they put the mashed potato into a baked potato skin :D
