Casablanca Restaurant in Grenaa
During our road trip in Denmark, we had dinner at a small cosy Italian restaurant, Casablanca. It was located by the waterfront in Grenå, right across the Kattegatcentret. It was a nice area, although I must tell you I could be biased because in my opinion, anything near water is nice
There were several other restaurants in the area, all having the same hut-like shape (see picture below). In fact, these hut-like buildings were all over the place with different functions. Some were small residences for rent (during the holidays) and some were laundry and shower rooms. When we walked around the area, we were able to peek into one of the small residences and thought that it was actually not bad at all. On the contrary, they looked really cosy.
Anyway, back to the dinner. Between the restaurants available in the area and the different taste/preference of our group members, we decided on this Italian restaurant so the young ones can have their pizzas
while my hubby and I can find other stuff. It turned out to be a good choice. The restaurant was small and cosy, and had a warm atmosphere.
As for the meals, the young ones each chose their favourite pizza, hubby decided on some steak, while I ordered lasagne. Unfortunately their last lasagne was just ordered by someone else, so I had to change my order, and I chose pasta with beef in cream sauce. As usual I had problems with the portion because it was very big, so I concentrated on the beef (which was delicious and tender) and ate only half of the pasta. Just thinking about it got my mouth watering, so tonight my hubby and I will go to a small Italian restaurant where they have something similar.
