Vietnamese Noodles at Pho24
Nearing the end of my tenure at my previous job, I received lunch offers left and right from co-workers who wish to spend some more time with me just before I get out of their hair and leave them in peace.
One time the lunch offer came from a colleague of mine who was also previously my ex-boss from my job before my last. Yeah it’s a small world, we keep bumping into each other that way.
We decided to go somewhere close, as both of us had some work to do which we needed to get back to quickly.
So we went to Pho24, a Vietnamese restaurant near my office, located in Tebet Indraya Square. I haven’t had Vietnamese noodles in a long time so this choice was very welcomed. We ordered spring rolls for starters, both versions: fried and steamed. Then each of us also ordered a bowl of Vietnamese noodles.
I really like the freshness of the noodles: the coriander leaves, mint and lime (I think) give it a tangy taste but the meat, broth and fish sauce still leave it tasty enough, not to be drowned by the freshness of it. The sliced chilli peppers also gave it a hint of spicy although bearable enough not to kill my taste buds. So based on this visit, a follow up visit in the near future is definitely a must!
