Hakkebøf at White Horse

The White Horse is a restaurant around the corner of our house which was previously closed. During the short time it was closed, I was quite saddened because they had a menu which was my favourite: smoked salmon with spinach cream sauce. Well last time we went to Denmark in November last year, it has reopened with an Irish interior setting, similar menu, minus my favourite. :( But anyways, it was good to see it was reopened under new management and owner, so my hubby and I went there for a visit one day to have some small bite for lunch. Or so we thought.

The small bite for lunch turned out to be a big one. We both ordered hakkebøf dish which apparently consists of two hakkebøf, two eggs sunny side up, slices of rye bread and slices of red beet. The hakkebøf was really tasty, with some slightly burnt outer layers which added to the taste, but it did not take away the juiciness of the meat. After finishing this big and delicious meal, I think we just ended up with bread and liver pate for dinner.
