When a friend of mine came over to Jakarta from Bogor, we had a girly weekend with some shopping. The Monday after, she still had some time off from the office so I took her and her other friend with me to meet with one of my ex-colleagues for lunch at Sushi Groove. My parents stopped by at my house the other day, dropping off some stuff I needed sometime in the future that I had still left at home. As they came during lunch hour, I thought I may as well take them out for lunch. We didn’t want to spend much time in the Jakarta traffic so we opted to have some lunch nearby, and ended up at Raja Rasa restaurant in Ampera.
Nearing the end of my tenure at my previous job, I received lunch offers left and right from co-workers who wish to spend some more time with me just before I get out of their hair and leave them in peace. 
One time the lunch offer came from a colleague of mine who was also previously my ex-boss from my job before my last. Yeah it’s a small world, we keep bumping into each other that way. 
We decided to go somewhere close, as both of us had some work to do which we needed to get back to quickly.
I decided to take up my culinary experience up a notch. If I usually make delicious difficult-to-prepare food (such as Indonesian food) with the help of some ready made spice mixture, this time I decided to make things from scratch. Or sort of. The menu for today: lamb curry.
The White Horse is a restaurant around the corner of our house which was previously closed. During the short time it was closed, I was quite saddened because they had a menu which was my favourite: smoked salmon with spinach cream sauce. Well last time we went to Denmark in November last year, it has reopened with an Irish interior setting, similar menu, minus my favourite. 
But anyways, it was good to see it was reopened under new management and owner, so my hubby and I went there for a visit one day to have some small bite for lunch. Or so we thought.
