Chicken Curry Puff at Secret Recipe
When the new mall, Pejaten Village just opened last year, my hubby and I went there to check out what is in store. Since it was not fully functional yet (they said it was only a soft opening), not many of the stores were open. At that time, the Matahari department store and Hypermart grocery store were open, with some small stalls selling girlie accessories, a few food stalls in the food court, and some small restaurants including Secret Recipe.
As the afternoon drew near (and we didn’t have any lunch), my hubby and I wanted to grab a small bite, big enough to satisfy our hunger but small enough to not ruin our dinner plans. So we went to Secret Recipe, and we ordered a small menu. My hubby opted for the chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate and coffee, while I chose chicken curry puff with iced tea.
My hubby’s brownies was very rich and yummy but unfortunately my curry puff was a bit too soggy. I guess it’s true when they say you can’t really heat pastry puffs – you can see how limp it looks. It was a shame, because the chicken curry itself didn’t really taste bad. So I guess when going to a place and ordering this type of pastry, it’s better to not have it reheated or just choose something completely different.
