The (Culinary) Adventures of a Nomad(‘s wife)
I was originally going to name this blog ‘The (Culinary) Adventure of a Nomad’s wife’. The reason being, is that in October 2008, I married my partner of 3.5 years, who is working for a humanitarian organization with a high travelling or relocation demand. Hence, the term ‘Nomad’. But then I thought, if I am married to a Nomad, and I intend to follow him around, that would make me a Nomad too. So why be wordy?
As I mentioned before in my previous post, the idea of this blog was to write about food. The idea came from my sister when we were chatting earlier about having lunch together on Saturday, and we wandered off to talk about the menu. She then wondered whether I would be interested in writing about food. Well, since I like tasting different kind of food, and I also love cooking, I thought, hey why not.
So here we are. I must warn you though, there is a reason why I put ‘culinary’ in brackets. I wanted to leave space for me to also write about non-food experiences, since I also love traveling. And being (married to) a Nomad, I thought I would have plenty of interesting things to share with you too. Since this is a continuation of my previous blogs (which had a different main topic) there are plenty of old posts that have nothing to do with travel or food. But anyways, I hope you enjoy your visit!
